Abstract
The level of competitiveness generated by the Formula Student, has generated a series of studies and technological advances in order to improve the performance of the single seaters so that they develop successfully in the aspect of the demands of the competition. This document details the study of the suspension system of a Formula Student electric competition single seater. This study involves an analysis of the kinematics and dynamics of the suspension system in which an analytical determination of movement, loads and vibrations is carried out by means of simulation software and mathematical calculations. The aim of the study is to evaluate the performance of the suspension according to the regulations of the competition, to establish parameters that improve the suspension system and at the same time the performance of the car in terms of comfort and safety.
